Our plant-based packaging is made from sugarcane ethanol. a renewable, annually harvested crop that captures CO₂ during growth. The resulting bio-PET is chemically identical to fossil PET but has a 70% lower cradle-to-gate carbon footprint.

The Science

From Sugarcane to Your Water Bottle

The bio-PET production process turns plant sugars into the same polymer as conventional PET. with a radically greener supply chain.

Sugarcane Cultivation

Sugarcane is cultivated on existing agricultural land in Maharashtra and Karnataka. It captures atmospheric CO₂ during growth.

Fermentation to Ethanol

Crushed cane juice is fermented into bio-ethanol. a renewable, low-carbon chemical building block.

Ethanol to Bio-MEG

Ethanol is dehydrated and oxidised to produce bio-monoethylene glycol (bio-MEG), a key PET monomer.

Polymerisation to Bio-PET

Bio-MEG is combined with purified terephthalic acid (PTA) to produce bio-PET resin. chemically identical to fossil PET.

Blow Moulding

Bio-PET preforms are stretch-blow moulded into Green ORA bottles using our existing PET bottling equipment.

Filling & Capping

Filled with 10-stage purified BIS/ISI certified water and sealed with a bio-HDPE cap from sugarcane-derived HDPE.
